Since our start in 2013, DOC has had great success in the healthcare real estate sector. But we don’t want that to be our only legacy.
The person-to-person relationships we have built are at the very core of our business and personal values. As a company, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our team members, investors, healthcare partners, and those who visit our properties. With those values in mind, Physicians Realty Trust always strives to “pay it forward,” extending ripples of impact to others in the communities we serve.
DOC provides quarterly volunteer opportunities to our team members in support of a rotating host of nonprofit organizations. Past Milwaukee-area activities include preparing dinner at the Ronald McDonald House, providing holiday gifts for the families of Next Door, and working on the Hunger Task Force Farm. These opportunities offer our team members a win-win situation. In addition to giving back to the community, DOC employees have a chance to get to know each other outside the office. These meaningful activities remind us that, while work is important, people and giving back are at the forefront of our culture.
In addition to our volunteer activities, we provide monetary support to a variety of nonprofit organizations. In 2018 alone, DOC contributed over $180,000 in philanthropic support for charitable causes and sponsorships nationwide. One of our signature nonprofit partners is cureHUNTER, a Nashville charity dedicated to finding a cure for pediatric cancer. Through a commitment to research and advocacy, cureHUNTER works to end the emotional, physical and mental devastation of childhood cancer. Collectively, DOC’s corporate giving and benefit events have raised over $150,000 for this critical cause since 2013. In the Milwaukee area, DOC has partnered with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation, the ALS Association Wisconsin Chapter, and others. Across the country, we are proud supporters of our healthcare providers’ foundations as an extension of our strong relationships in these communities. If your organization is interested in partnering with DOC, please contact us.
